4-YEAR-OLD CLASS - WATER EXPERIMENT !!

Following the work on water that the class teacher is doing this term, we wanted to carry out a water experiment in the English class. Well actually, it was 3 experiments in 1! We mixed water with 3 different ingredients, oil, sugar and rice. With this experiment we wanted the children to realise that some substances get mixed/disolved in water but others do not. The kids had to make a hypothesis first and record on a sheet of paper what was going to happen when one ingredient got mixed with water, whether the 2 ingredients would merge or they would remain separated. After the experiments, kids recorded the result and checked it with their original thought.

Continuando con el trabajo sobre el agua que la tutora está haciendo este trimestre, en la clase de inglés queríamos hacer un experimento con agua. Bueno en realidad fueron 3 experimentos en 1! Mezclamos agua con 3 ingredientes distintos, aceite, azúcar y arroz. Con este experimento queríamos que los niños se dieran cuenta que algunas sustancias se mezclan con agua pero otras no. Primero los niños tenían que crear una hipótesis y plasmar en una hoja lo que iba a ocurrir cuando un ingrediente se mezclaba con agua, si los 2 ingredienes se fusionarían o permanecerían separados. Después de los experimentos, los niños escribieron el resultado y lo comprobaron con lo que habían pensado en un principio.
